Cake Ingredients

  • 200 gr medium protein flour
  • 200 gr brown sugar, finely chopped
  • 200 ml water
  • 100 ml cooking oil
  • 50 gr sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 pandan leaf

How to make Brown Sugar Blossom Steamed Sponge

  1. Boil water + brown sugar + sugar + salt = until it boils, strain and set aside, let the boiled water cool to room temperature
  2. mix flour + baking powder + baking soda = mix well and sift, then set aside
  3. Beat the eggs with a whisk, then pour the brown sugar boiled water, stir, add the flour mixture, baking powder, baking soda and stir until smooth
  4. alternating between pouring brown sugar boiled water and adding wheat flour, do it until the ingredients run out
  5. lastly add cooking oil and stir again, make sure there are no oil deposits at the bottom of the basin
  6. The dough you get will be thick, smooth and heavy chocolate
  7. ?Pour the dough into a mold that has been lined with a paper cup, as high as a paper cup or until it is completely flat
  8. Steam over medium heat for 15 minutes or until cooked
  9. Don’t forget to wrap the lid of the steaming pot with a cloth napkin, if you don’t use klakat
  10. Do not open the lid of the pot until the steaming process is complete
