  • 250 grams of rice flour
  • 200 ml of coconut milk
  • 200 ml of water
  • 150 grams of granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • Pandan leaves for coloring
  • Grated coconut for topping


  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the rice flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
  2. Add the eggs to the mixture and whisk until smooth.
  3. Add the coconut milk and water to the mixture, stirring continuously, until a smooth batter forms.
  4. Add a few pandan leaves to the batter for coloring (optional).
  5. Grease a steaming mold with some oil or butter.
  6. Pour the batter into the mold, filling it about 3/4 of the way full.
  7. Steam the cake for 15-20 minutes until it is cooked through.
  8. Remove the cake from the mold and sprinkle some grated coconut on top.
  9. Let the cake cool for a few minutes before serving.
