It’s been 2 weeks since we returned to America after 6 months of enjoying the lay back life at home in Indonesia. Thank God, every summer, our backyard in the form of the Gulf of Mexico always blesses us with an abundance of fish and crabs. Even on certain days, crabs just dredge using nets without having to use traps…. to the point that there is a famous tourist spot near our dock where small boats hang out for fun called “Crab Island”. The dish below is the result of my son’s 66 cm long catch of blue crab and redfish fish. The name of the menu is in the photo description.

CRAB SANDWICH
- 1 pack of hot dog buns/burgers
- 1 cup crab meat
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
- 1/4 cup chopped jumbo celery
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper powder
- 1 cup mayonnaise
Method:
warm the hotdog buns/burgers in a frying pan and set aside. Mix all the filling ingredients and then add to the bread. Sandwich is ready to be served with potato chips and cucumber pickle. You can add chili sauce for spicy taste.
